Red rose pre 65 trials
Even 6 meters had a respectable showing of 27 contacts, and following the Lancaster County Simplex Net every Saturday night on The Red Rose club picnic was held on Saturday August 7th. The setup began around 10 am and lunch was be served at ish. There were 31 people in attendance, making it the best attended picnic in recent memory. Two HF stations were actually setup and operating. We had a total of 5 operators, 4 were able to each get credit for their own individual activation and the W3RRR call sign was credited with another activation!
We enjoyed an exciting day of radio, conversation, education and camaraderie in Gap. There were visitors who came out of curiosity, visitors directly invited by letter and visitors who wanted to see the action. There were four active stations set up to operate and contacts were made.
