First, I decided I wanted an optic and found a Picatinny rain mount on Amazon that used a wedge of sorts that went into the rear sight dovetail on my G Put it in and went to the range. The wedge loosened up after around 30 rounds. Went back to the range, shot around 30 rounds and the red dot loosened up.

I decided it needed blue loctite, so I went home and put blue loctite on the bolts holding the red dot to the rail and went back to the range. This time I fired 3 rounds and the sight got launched off the rail. Checked it out and a piece of the rail had sheared off.

So much for Amazon picatinny rails. At this point I got smart and ordered the picatinny rail from Recover Tactical. Installed it, took around 10 minutes or so, installed the red dot on it and went off to the range. Just got back and I love this thing. Got the red dot zeroed with no problems.

There are a few downfalls of the MCK: if you have an rmr, you have to take it off everytime you use the MCK, how the MCK holds your glock barrel and slide against an internal muzzle device makes your slide get insanely dirty when you use it.

This device removes both of those faults and gives you something a fraction of the price and in a smaller footprint. Basically if you run an RMR, this is what you want. Hands down. Everything about this is so much better. The 1 thing that Recover Tactical could improve on this is the screw that holds the shell closed. You need to use a tool everytime you take the gun in or out.

If they could somehow switch this to either a thumbscrew or maybe some sort of retention clamp using a captured spring or something. I have a ton of ideas how this could work.
