Windows 7 is not letting me create a new folder

I'm going to try using System Restore to reload the manual restore point I had created, which I was when I was pretty sure that everythng was working just fine. Hopefully this would solve my little problem, because there's no more critical updates for me to install that just might resolve the issue. I'm hoping though that anyone who has an alternative solution from what I'm about to do can provide the specifics by replying to this. Your help would be very much appreciated.

I have the same question Report abuse. Details required :. Cancel Submit. Search for 'command prompt' using Cortana or Windows Search. From results, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. After downloading and installing the program you'll notice that by default every option is checked. I'd be a lot more selective about it, otherwise your right-click menu will be a full page long! When the main window opens you'll see a list on the right-hand side of all the items that can be added to the right-click menu.

Start weeding through the list and take out all the one's you don't need by un checking the box. Once you're done making your choices de-selections make sure you click the green checkmark in the row of icons in the top left-hand window of the interface to "Apply" your choices.
